With our CompWALK line of products, we help accrediting organizations to streamline and improve their facility onboarding, assessment scheduling, onsite assessment and post-assessment processes. As a Software Engineer at NextLOGiK, you will join a talented team developing industry-leading mobile and web applications that delight and empower our customers, while being scalable and secure. You’ll accomplish this by leveraging the latest technologies in a collegial environment where collaboration and teamwork are both expected and rewarded.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, code, test, and debug software products
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Product teams on design strategies, product specifications, and user expectations
  • Resolve hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations
  • Maintain uniformity by adhering to NextLOGiK standard operating procedures and established performance standards
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
  • Provide support to customers as necessary
  • Follow NextLOGiK Software Development Lifecycle processes, and comply with all professional as well as company best practices
  • Protect operations by keeping information confidential
  • Review and analyze software requirements and user stories
  • Maintain and improve product quality by performing periodic code reviews, investigating customer complaints, and collaborating with other members of the team to develop new product and engineering designs
  • Update job knowledge by studying trends and developments in software engineering, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations

Required Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of full stack Web Application development leveraging C# .Net, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with version control software (preferably Git)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of software & systems security best practices
  • Strong analytical, organizational and critical thinking skills; a detailed-oriented problem solver

Preferred Competencies

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure, AWS) and SaaS models
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Entity Framework
  • Previous experience writing and consuming RESTful Web Services
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum software development methodology
  • Previous experience with Continuous Integration build systems (preferably Azure DevOps), Agile project management tools (preferably Jira) and automated testing tools
  • Previous experience with Typescript, Angular, and other frameworks
  • Previous experience with mobile application development for iOS/Android
  • Accreditation Management experience
  • Previous experience with HIPAA, HITECH, and GDPR
