Position Summary

The QA will have overall responsibility for quality testing to ensure our product works as specified.  The position works with our design and development teams resolve any problems and to suggest enhancements.


Working remote: Our offices are located in Columbia, MD but we don’t like to restrict our talented team to just the DMV. We offer the ability to work remotely within the continental U.S.


  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test scripts.
  • Document and evaluate test results and defects, track and manage defects and work with Development team and business to troubleshoot issues.
  • Provide testing estimates for assigned work.
  • Establish and maintain traceability of requirements through test plans and cases.
  • Partner with project managers/business analysts to ensure requirements are documented, understood, covered by tests and accurately tested.
  • Support holistic testing efforts for multiple projects and software releases, including integration, system, regression, performance and user-acceptance testing.
  • Track and report on established QA metrics and KPIs for assigned projects.
  • Provide input on go / no-go decisions for production releases.

Team Support

  • Coordinate and collaborate with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and solutions meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Partner with customers to solve any business problems and, as needed, assist in designing solutions.
  • Build, confirm, and prioritize project plans and deliverables with senior team members.
  • Work independently in a collaborative team environment.
  • May work in a team with other clients and vendors.
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attend required training and participate in continuous education to stay up-to-date on industry trends.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related discipline, or equivalent in work experience .
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance methodologies or software testing
  • Familiarity with agile/scrum framework
  • Good written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated, self-directed individual that can lead the creation and development of testing processes and procedures
  • Basic understanding of .NET, C#, MS SQL Server
  • Experience in Atlassian’s JIRA, preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, and Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
